5 Holiday Gift Plants You Should Never Give a Pet Owner (and 5 safer, pet-friendly alternatives)

Published
'Tis the season for laughing, gathering, and gift-giving! During this holiday season, it's also so important to keep our pets safe. When you are choosing a last-minute gift for a holiday gathering, it is so easy and convenient to pick up a holiday gift plant at a local store... but if the person has a pet at home, some of these common holiday gift plants can be toxic for their pet. In this video, I share some advice on how to select pet-friendly holiday gift plants.

If you think that there is even the slightest chance that your pet may have ingested a toxic plant, please contact your pet's veterinarian, an emergency veterinary hospital, or the animal poison control line immediately!
