Building Alaska: Yurt Arctic Entry || Why I Became a Dog Musher

If you have ever wondered how the heck I got the idea to start my own dogsled tour company, you might want to keep watching. Beckie Hacker, owner of Dream Big Kennel in Alaska, was my manager in 2017, and from the day I met her, I knew I wanted to be just like her. She has encouraged me every step of the way and given us quite a few dogs (PJ, Jeanie, Elektra). We went up to Alaska to pick up more dogs for our business that she was generous enough to watch all summer. We decided to fly up there and pick them up ourselves so that we could spend a few days with Beckie and attempt to repay her for our kindness. Like us, Beckie lives a homesteading lifestyle and had a few projects to get done before winter.
