Cooper the Labrador - 3 Weeks Residential Dog Training

Published
Cooper the Labrador has completed his 3 week residential training stay

Cooper is an awesome working line Lab that just loves learning, but is also a very social boy. This caused Cooper to lunge at people and other dogs when on lead so he could say hello, as well as fail to recall because he wanted to play.

After 3 weeks of intensive training, Cooper can now walk nicely by his owners side without pulling them in each direction or completely putting the breaks on.

Cooper also finds it much easier to understand that not everyone is his friend and he can ignore other people and dogs when asked. He has also made tremendous progress around dogs and can recall away from dogs as well as respond to other obedience cues when asked so he can calmly let other dogs pass without engaging.

Cooper also struggled to settle at times in the home, especially when he wasn’t the centre of attention. He will now happily go to his bed when asked and settle whilst his owners work or whilst his family want to enjoy calm time in the evenings.
