Indi the Cockapoo - 4 Weeks Residential Dog Training

Indi the Cockapoo has completed her 4 week residential training holiday

Indi's is a cautious and sensitive girl who was very easily spooked by movement of traffic, joggers, cyclists, people etc.

When it came to her response it was always immediate and intense and was often difficult to help her out or calm her down.

During Indi's time with us she has progressed beautifully. She is in a calmer head space, is much more confident in herself and her handler. She can think much clearer and offer a lower arousal response when she's unsure.

She been learning how to cope and use the aid of her handler rather than displaying the behaviours that previously worked (which was a lot of barking)

We have helped Indi to settle in the house and she can now relax on her bed at mealtimes without barking for attention and food.

Although Indi is very worried by strangers visiting the home, we are pleased to say that she feels far safer in her crate where she doesn't need to lunge and bark in fear. She will instead chill and relax without the worry of her space being invaded.

Indi will need ongoing management to help her make better choices but she is most certainly on the right track now she can think clearer and understand she has choices.
